Meeting place

Calle Zetas 400.

Cusco to Cruzpata by vehicle

We will travel for about 1 hour by car to the indigenous community of Cruzpata where the biking will start.

Cruzpata to the archaeological site of Moray by Bike

This part of the route is mainly a flat earth-packed road with some moderate downhills and very few uphills. Upon reaching Moray, we will take a guided tour of this agricultural laboratory from the Inca period.

Moray to Maras town

This part of the route is mainly downhill on earth-packed road and only the last part is full uphill with several curves until reaching the town of Maras (the entire climb on bike will take about 20 minutes).

Maras town to the Salt Mines of Maras

This part of the route is moderate downhill on singletrack until reaching the salt mines where we will take a guided tour.

Maras Salt Mines to Kachi K’ata bridge

We will continue riding downhill the mountain over singletrack until we reach the Kachi K’ata bridge on the Urubamba River.

Kachi K’ata to Cusco city

At the Kachi K’ata bridge, we will take a private vehicle to return to Cusco.

  • $110 per person.

  • * This tour requires a minimum of two people to proceed.

  • Maximum weight per person: 90 kg.
  • People with recent fractures.
  • People with spinal problems.

The start and end times of this activity are approximate.

Bike damages

Any damage to the bicycle caused by unauthorized maneuvers must be paid for by the customer.

Vehicle type and seats

Vehicles:

  • Authorized by the Ministry of Transportation of Peru.
  • Clean and modern ones.
  • Sedan looking auto, 4×4, H1, Van, Renault and Mercedez Benz (it will depend on the group size).

Seats – group tours:

  • You reserve a seat in the bus, not a specific number of seat.
  • If you get picked-up first, then you can choose some seats (your pick-up time will depend on your hotel location).
  • Couples seat together to 95%; however, we can’t warranty this will happen to 100%.

Operability

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation of the tour is free as long as you do so at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise we will charge 100% of the tour price. See also our terms.
